2010 Taaruf Week

When a child comes to join a school for the very first time, it isnt easy....for the child, as well as for the parents and staffs. Surely if we put ourselves in the lil ones shoes, it is scary...having to be left with such strangers people call teacher and friends that they don't know their names what more to play along well together for 3 hours!

Therefore, we took the initiative to extand our taaruf week for 2 weeks, to help the children, parents and staffs get to know each other, their friends and the school, to build trust, and making sure each one of us comfortable in the new environment.

During taaruf week, we get to know names, likes and dislikes, we learn to be tolerant and share, we learn to enjoy playing together and listen to instructions. We get to make new friends and create good conversations. We get to dance, sing and most of all READ! Yes, you got it right, reading is done during the very 1st week of schooling.

Playing together developes their adab of sharing, taking turns and build their social skills.
